Delivery Policy
1. Delivery Areas
We currently deliver within South Africa. If you are located outside of South Africa, please contact us directly to discuss possible arrangements.
2. Processing Time
All orders are processed within 1–3 business days after payment has been received and confirmed. Orders are not processed on weekends or public holidays.
3. Delivery Timeframes
Estimated delivery times are as follows:
- Major cities: 2–4 business days
- Outlying areas: 3–7 business days
Please note that delivery times are estimates and may vary depending on courier services and external factors.
4. Delivery Costs
Delivery fees are calculated at checkout based on your location and order size. Any applicable shipping costs will be clearly displayed before payment is completed.
5. Order Tracking
Once your order has been dispatched, you may receive a tracking number via email (if applicable), allowing you to monitor the delivery status.
6. Delivery Requirements
- A person 18 years or older must be present to receive the delivery.
- Valid identification may be required upon delivery.
- Orders cannot be delivered to P.O. Boxes.
7. Incorrect Delivery Details
Customers are responsible for providing accurate delivery information. Hout Bay Harbour Distillery will not be held liable for delays or failed deliveries due to incorrect or incomplete addresses.
Returns & Refunds Policy
1. Eligibility for Returns
We accept returns under the following conditions:
- The product is damaged, defective, or incorrect upon delivery
- The return request is made within 7 days of receiving the order
Due to the nature of our products, we cannot accept returns for:
- Change of mind
- Opened or used products (unless defective)
2. Damaged or Incorrect Orders
If your order arrives damaged or incorrect, please contact us within 7 days and include:
- Your order number
- Clear photos of the product and packaging
We will arrange a replacement or refund where applicable.
3. Return Process
Once your return is approved:
- We will provide instructions for returning the item
- In some cases, we may arrange courier collection
Do not return products without prior approval.
4. Refunds
Approved refunds will be processed within 5–10 business days after the returned product has been received and inspected.
Refunds will be issued via the original payment method where possible.
5. Shipping Costs for Returns
- If the return is due to our error (damaged, defective, or incorrect item), we will cover the return shipping costs
- If not, return shipping costs may be the responsibility of the customer
